The Anime Trope System: Stone vs. Viper, #14 a LitRPG (ATS) Page 2
Maya: a mucus toad monster girl, CEO of Nowie pizza chains and more. She’s in love with Seth. First appearance was in Volume 3.
Nuri: half-pixy servant of Maya who actually attends Sato Academy.
Ling: Tetra’s coworker and close friend. She’s a short woman with wavy brown hair, a bust somehow exceeding even Tetra’s, and a somewhat sexual-flirty vibe about her.
Liru: Harumi’s older sister. She lives abroad, refusing to return after the tragic end of the Kitsune clan.
Lilith, the Supreme Demon Lord: Empress of the Monster Kingdoms.
Anzu: from Volume 3. They first walked in on the loli while she was singing a cat-heavy song. She is the real estate agent who booked Clyde his first house. She’s 23. A friend of Harumi and Liru.
Amaterasu “Juliette”: Melody’s mother. She Who Dawns Time. A legendary trickster demoness, wife of Platus, Dark God of Utopius. Crimson red hair like her daughter. However, she has unnerving glowing eyes. Melody does not share this trait. (She was a major 3-phase boss of Volume 8. Clyde pulled a miracle summoning Over-Stone 75%, easily defeating her.)
Platus, Dark God of Utopius: Melody’s father. He is not to be mistaken for He Who Paints the Night, a rogue dark god that impersonated Platus. Platus wants to harshly punish his daughter for accidentally breaking the realm’s core. She couldn’t control her immense strength back then. He sealed it as a result. He’s an angry, kingly figure who will do whatever it takes to get things done. Even if it means hurting loved ones.
Undine: a powerful reaperess, who had quite a past thousands of years ago. Some even call her goddess of death. Her alignment was changed on the night Clyde’s power went berserk after Chika’s near death. Now she’s as sweet as an angel. Her love and devotion to Yusuke is strong. Intense beauty - long black hair, enormous breasts, and glistening purple eyes. She loves her kimonos.
Asu: a beautiful and perky lich girl who has a vast sense of humor in addition to her vast magical knowledge. Clyde’s declared Head of the Stone Maidens, she’s completely devoted to pleasing her master.
Thor, God of Thunder.
Fuyoko: leader of the Blood Seekers, a group dedicated to locating treasures in highly dangerous areas. Known as Master of the Stars for some reason. Blue-green hair, light blue eyes, and is quite a beautiful young woman. She has the ability to turn some enemies to stone. On a sad note, her mother is disappointed in her.
Naoko: kuudere loli as Clyde refers to her - she is known as the Blood Servant, second to Fuyoko. In reality, she’s an Entity with a mission to help the Stone reach his true potential. She was injured during her warp to Satovia. Fuyoko risked her life, taking down three powerful demons to save the injured girl. Naoko has served her since. These days, Fuyoko sees her as a precious little sister that would probably emotionally fall apart if she left. One eye green, the other red - she also has green hair and elven ears.
Kimiko: a cute, orange-haired young woman who is also a member of the Rose Dragon sisters. She hates perverts. Kind of a tsundere.
Chiyo: the oldest of the Rose Dragon sisters. A beautiful white-haired woman who favors wearing kimonos over western-style clothing. A very powerful dragon. She really loves her anime.
Aimi: the middle sister of the Rose Dragon sisters. Hates men; however, she cannot control her urges very well. A bookworm. A closet pervert.
Sol Niye Lor: the Falcon, one of the five dimensional interlopers invited by the Watchers. With goals of glory, the young man has no intention of letting the other “players” get a one-up on him. If he could change the stone-viper games, to the Falcon game… A skilled fighter, although a bit unreasonable. [Defeated. Is he gone for good?]
Amina: Clyde’s Stone-Tokken deck leader. She lives in a giant house with nearly infinite books. A beautiful woman with long golden hair and eyes. A mysterious being of incredible power.
Kevin: First Rider of Achilles, He Who Paints the Night’s apocalypse. Well, Achilles is dead. So, he’s just Kevin. A single man, hurt by an ex named Netoritta… yeah.
Atreas: Third Rider, a samurai who wields the power of flames. He can reincarnate an unknown number of times after death. There’s a sneaking suspicion that he may have gone easy on Clyde’s party during the initial meet…
Risa Soulless: the youngest of the Soulless family’s elder dragons. She was full of ambition to climb to the top. She’s a blonde beauty of a dragon girl with the ability to shift from human form to that of an enormous reptile of death. Chiyo and the others knew her as someone who wouldn’t hurt a thing.
Princess Kaguya: Kaguya is the princess of a nation called Alon. Clyde and the party first met the young woman after stopping wizards from taking over the country. Unfortunately, Black Mask, a figurehead of the wizard organization, killed her. Venus brought her back as a ghost girl. She joined Team Stone. A kind young woman with long silver hair and tan skin. Clyde often sees her as having a resemblance to Yuuna from Yuuna and the Hot Springs manga. She is the creator of the androids. They refer to her as Mother.
Dera: An android woman created by Kaguya. She first started watching Team Stone during the Alonian adventure quest. She was simply a hotel worker, but her curiosity increased. Even to sex. And since androids are created by a combination of magic and science, they are completely life-like, have emotions, and can feel everything. Dera can often detect abnormities with her sensors, determine probability of outcomes, and is both a humorous and kind person. She loves her Mother unconditionally.
Stone Maidens:
Arch Priestess Ichika: a young woman with sky-blue hair and a righteous attitude. Possibly the most normal of her small group. Often takes responsibility very seriously and will easily blame herself for any failures, even if out of her control.
High Priestesses that follow Ichika:
-Megu: someone who is somewhat short tempered and sometimes blames others a little too often. The other high priestesses call her lazy. She calls it, “taking a lax approach at life.”
-Emi: a tender-hearted young woman who panics a little when things get out of control. Maybe comedically cries a lot.
-Jae: a kuudere that loves to eat, but never gains weight. She’s blunt about everything, but doesn’t talk much. Many of the others call her adorable behind her back.
-Yumi: a timid girl who is sometimes known for a sense of humor. That is, when she’s actually around. She has a tendency to lock herself in her room after work or take multiple bathroom breaks. Could she be…
Tiffia: A sex-teasing Crusader researcher with a secret project that could supposedly change the world. Many of her fellow researchers back it. She’s a blonde woman who was secretly a customer of Terrance, though he didn’t recognize her when she attempted to “purify” him. Orders from a now-dead Pillar.
Terrance: dark-skinned man with black hair. A psychic, although he didn’t know at first. He didn’t believe in anything supernatural until strange thing started happening around him. It is unclear as to why the Crusaders were truly interested in this man; however, so was Aunder, the Viper. He left Terrance a business card for recruitment, which he eventually accepted, seeking answers.
Episode 67 (Part 1): Tricky
Last time on the Anime Trope System, Clyde dealt the finishing blow to the Falcon for good. It seems like we won’t hear from him again, unless an ally revives him. Would Sol even want to come back after a defeat so brutal that his soul received damage? Ha.
Afterward, a game-winning object known as the World Star Fragment presented itself before Clyde. His obstacle being to liberate an old master chef and his granddaughter’s restaurant from ruthless demon creditors… yeah, quite the ugly bastard by the way. An unexpected NTR villain boss fight finished the deal for the young man.
He has now obtained his second fragment. Six left to go! What happens upon retrieving them?
Welcome to the Anime Trope System Volume 14:
Nya! Nya! To be or not to be, Mad.
Morning…
Lot City, Satovia…
&n
bsp; Clyde’s House…
Saturday. Week 1. Month 3. Year 1. Season: Winter.
[Satovian Universal Calendar: Domino, 46389.]
[School: Winter Break. Day 15 of 30.]
[Current declared fiancée(s): Melody, Alice, Tear, Harumi, Chika, Natalia, Kitome, Yuki, Tessa, Ruri.]
[Expecting: Harumi, Alice, Kitome. Time left: Harumi, kitsune: 5 months until due. Alice, half-demoness, half-angel: 5 months until due. Kitome, human: 9.3 months until due. Harumi: week 3, day 2. Alice: week 2, day 7. Kitome: week 1, day 7.]
Clyde’s blank stare held as he watched Alice rage at her first time playing a shooter and it seemed like she pulled poor Misaka along for the ride. The black-haired beauty was currently waiting for Ming to return from a meeting with her editor. Sadly, Seth introduced the half-demoness to some kind of hardcore Halo-like game. The shouts of rage had woken the young man from his slumber.
“Nyyyaaa.” Someone nibbled on his ear. Before he could shift his glare to the catgirl, the young man winced as the controller accidentally flew out of Alice’s hands, nailing Misaka in the face. It looked as comical as it would for any anime, which was why the young man forced himself not to burst into laughter.
“Oh I’m so sorry,” Alice said. “Stupid controller isn’t made for normal hands.”
Clyde could call the half-demoness out, but honestly, the situation was just too goddamn funny.
“Nyyaaaa—Ugh!”
Clyde grabbed Neko’s tail and squeezed. “Neko, what are you doing? Don’t make me get Matsume to chase you out of here.”
Natalia snickered, then burst into laughter. The young man sighed, petting the catgirl.
“So mean,” Neko said as she snuggled into the covers with him.
“I’m mean?” Clyde countered. “I’m sleeping here.”
“You can thank Lady Alice’s craving for digital blood and gore for waking you up.”
Yuki stepped out of the bathroom. She quickly pulled Neko out of the covers with a single hand.
“I don’t think so,” Yuki said. “You’re going shopping with Ako, Kanako, and I. The Stone Maidens are out and we’ve got things to replace.”
“Nyyyaa, come on, it can wait.”
The demoness kissed Clyde before hauling the catgirl out of the room. Harumi, who uncharacteristically slept in, rolled onto him. No… actually, onto Ruri, causing the hellhound to wake up.
“Ugh, what the hell?” Ruri said. “Soul sister, you’re suffocating me with your breasts.”
Harumi slowly opened her eyes. “Hmm? Woops, sorry Ruri.” She sat up, hugged, and pet the hellhound. Clyde gave the fox girl a nice pet, because he could tell she wanted one too. Harumi hid her instincts much better than the others.
“Pervy husbando-nii, pet me too.” Natalia dove into him.
“Oof,” Clyde grunted. “Did you really have to crash into me with your handheld?”
He gave the loli a pet before crawling from the bed to stretch.
Misaka nodded to him. “Morning,” she said, “and… sorry for disturbing you.”
“You’re fine, Misaka,” Clyde said. “You’re not the one raging hard enough to wake our neighbors.” He shot Alice a nice Toru-style blank stare.
The half-demoness returned a sad smile. “It’s Seth’s fault for challenging me to play this ridiculous game,” Alice said. “Natalia told me that one of the snipers tea-bagged my character.”
The young man and Harumi softly facepalmed.
“I’m going to wash up for the morning,” Clyde said. “Airi and I are going to farm some hornets. You know, this would be a great training opportunity, Misaka.” The young woman flinched. “I’m just kidding. I know you’re waiting for Ming.”
She blushed. “I don’t… mind. Ming will not be back for another three hours.”
Clyde nodded. “That sounds like a plan. We’ll take off in about an hour or so.”
He headed into the bathroom, followed by Harumi. After brushing their teeth and washing, Clyde and Harumi kissed, which sparked on passion. Sadly, it was interrupted. He could hear more voices from outside the bathroom.
“Hi Chika, Hi Melody,” Alice said. “Where’s Kitome?”
“She’s in the front with Hinako,” Melody said.
“It still feels odd having a professor that I was sure hated me, live here,” Chika said.
“It looks like someone needs to hang out with her.” That was Airi’s voice. “Just in time. Before Clyde and I go beat up some hornets, I’ve got some new orc-rum-infused chocolate. Come on.”
“No way,” Chika said. “I don’t want your chocolates and I’ve got work to do anyway.”
“I want some,” Alice said.
Clyde and Harumi quickly rushed out of the bathroom right on time to intercept the half-demoness.
“We don’t need you drunk and throwing controllers at people,” Harumi said.
“Do you want me to call Tear to give you another lecture about eating healthy?” Clyde asked.
“But it’s chocolate,” Alice said.
Airi laughed. “Sorry Alice,” the super druid said. “Harumi gave me the look.”
Clyde picked up the half-demoness in a princess carry while messing around with his inventory. He accidentally… pulled out a breast potion. The small bottle spawned in midair. Half of it spilled on Alice’s chest. The rest on Airi’s.
“Did… a bottle just appear from thin air?” Misaka asked in a deadpan.
Nothing happened to the women, so Clyde just bullshitted his way out of the dilemma. “Just some random health potion I believe,” he said. “Sorry about that, I was hoping to organize this inventory better. Anyway, I’m going to get dressed and then it’s off to Libado Grasslands.”
The women glared at him, not buying the young man’s bullshit, but no one could call him out. The empty potion bottle disappeared.
Little did they know, someone powerful, who served another very powerful being, was on her way to Lot City…
Episode 67 (Part 2)
Wonderland…
Chesire Cat’s room…
“Nya-nya-nya-nya-nya,” Chesire sang as she listened to Mad Hatter’s music using the majin’s CD Player. Never mind CD Players still being a thing—this music from Earth was something. What’s a Barbie girl?
The catgirl tossed three months’ worth of clothing into her magical suitcase along with personal items, deadly magical toys and, of course, her last can of catnip. “Nya, that’s the last one.”
Chesire sighed. “She said she had a trumpart prepare my things, but those idiot girls have no idea where I keep them. Or my treasures. No-brains, they are.”
The nerve of the dumb girl to fall asleep in her bed. The queen wouldn’t overreact if the idiot trumpart came back to ask Chesire about her belongings.
The catgirl kicked her out, but with much less energy than normal. She wasn’t in the mood to mess with the guards, not with the queen’s ridiculous task assigned to her. Chesire could retrieve Alice and she had the ability to protect herself from the powers of the god. Despite that, the catgirl was no god-fighter, slayer, whatever. She didn’t intend to die over this.
If push came to shove, she’d just hide in a dimensional rift until the whole thing blew over.
“OFF WITH HER HEAD,” the TV yelled.
Chesire shook her head. “What dumb legends. At least our queen isn’t like her.”
“OFF WITH HER HEAD!” yelled the queen from the hall. “Just kidding.”
She appeared from thin air and winked at Chesire. Then she pulled the catgirl into a breast trap. “You be careful out there, my little kitten.”
Chesire gasped for air when the queen released her. “Nya, I thought mine were big, but… Anyway, Your Highness, I’m off.”
“What’s that contraption you’re carrying?” the queen asked.
“Nyaa, it’s Mad Hatter’s CD player,” Chesire answered. “It plays strange music.”
The catgirl pulled the headphone cord out of the jack, allowin
g the default speakers on the side of the device to admit its low quality, but interesting, sound.
“A Barbie, what?” the queen said, then shook her head. “Never mind, get going.”
“Nya, you got it, Highness.” The cat girl created a rift by clawing at the air, then cheerfully leapt inside. “Maybe I’ll get that rabbit to be useful for once.”
The queen chuckled. “I doubt she’ll return with Alice, but she will have a lot to say about the Stone.” She licked her lips. “You know, I’m not sure if I want her here. Rumors said her grandmother may be… no. Just rumors.”
Libado Grasslands…
Clyde, Airi, Harumi, Misaka, Melody, and Natalia stared at the fifteen unconscious hornet girls that apparently attacked them on a dare. In the end, most of them begged for their lives. The other fifty that watched from the forest fled, leaving behind their sisters without a care in the world.
“Remember that forest entity, pervy-husbando?” Natalia said as she bent over to sniff a large blue flower.
“Ah, yeah,” Clyde said in a remembering voice. “You know what, let’s go pay the hornet queen a visit. She was quite rude to chase us out.”
“Good thing Toru’s not here,” Melody said.
“What was her name again?” Clyde asked the redhead.
“Ai Tel Nekta,” Melody replied.
