Clyde managed to upgrade his Dustone armor set into Grand steel armor, but failed to do anything about the wind blade. The broken shards of the Ashfall legendary sword were still with Clare.
He hoped she could find someone to fix the thing. Still, what kind of gamer would he be to not go for something better.
“I hope my sword doesn’t suck too much for this dungeon,” Clyde said softly. “I’ll need to improve it before the inquisitor arrives—”
“No use worrying about that,” Airi said. “Tear, take it away.”
Tear sighed.
“Are you ready to go, love?”
“I am,” he said to her. Alice’s adorable pouty face made them both chuckle as Tear activated the Jump.
**
[Area unlocked: Hallowsfer.]
What a small town, almost the size of a village.
Hallowsfer was true to its reputation, a ghost town for reasons no one in Clyde’s group knew. Other than Tear, nobody heard of the place. And as the young man suspected, the nearest neighboring town flourished over fifty miles away. The air felt colder, almost like an eerie chill—the steam of his breathing even emerged in some places.
The grass and flowers were all dead. The leaves of the trees took on a dark red color, almost as if stained with blood. Something seemed to call for them to fully enter the town, a sense of wrongness and dread. He could almost imagine a black haze in the distance, echoing with whispers, tiny screams, and cries of help.
“Are you looking to explore?” Tear said with a twinkle of mischief in his eye. Clyde didn’t want to come off as a wuss, so he used their current situation against the idea.
“We don’t have the time to worry about whatever happened here,” he said. “Let’s just find the dungeon.”
His mental navigation revealed its location and his heart dropped.
“It’s on the other side,” Clyde said softly, “so we’re going around.”
Harumi pointed at the thick forest that surrounded the town. There were noises coming out of it.
“Do you really want to go into that?” The pink-haired girl’s pleading look of innocence made him sigh.
“Fine, off into the creepy town it is,” Clyde said.
The temperature dropped even further as the group crossed the tiny town. The feeling of unease gnawed at him, but he could tell the forest was worse.
“I always hated places like these,” Airi said then looked around.
“It’s day, but with all of the shade…” Harumi’s voice trailed off when Clyde put up a hand. A shadowy figure ahead caught his attention. It seemed like a person lying on the ground, but the young man didn’t want to find out.
“Let’s just go this way,” he said, pointing at the street on the left. As long as they stayed in tune to his Mental Navigation System, the group could simply avoid any potential nuisances.
Abruptly, the shadowy figure ahead bounded toward them, faster and faster, almost jittery like... “Fuck, everyone get ready.”
The figure stopped a yard ahead of Clyde and his party, observing, and smiling. A monster girl.
A…busty woman with black hair, lower body of a giant centipede. Fully stretched out, she’d probably be fifteen to twenty feet tall. Large antennae decorated the top of her head.
She was also shirtless, large breasts fully exposed. A few body tattoos were inked on both sides of her boobs, all the same to what would be her upper thigh if the monster girl had human legs.
He analyzed her.
Oomukade- Poi
Level: 123
Type: Monster
Work under: N/A
Special: Super Lustful Poison Sting. (If a man is caught in this…well, you know what happens next. And she loves to vigorously do so.)
Weakness: fire, a man’s lick or kiss, earth.
Resistances: poison, nature.
Secret: she came to the town originally just to ask for directions back to the Monster Kingdoms, but the people fled. This caused her to fall into extreme sadness then utter hatred of everything.
“Why am I not surprised to see some Inuyasha shit,” Clyde said, shaking his head.
“Inu-what?” Airi said.
“Nothing,” Clyde said softly.
“Trespassers, give me the man and I shall let you leave this place alive,” the oomukade said.
“No can do,” Tear said. “Now move along before we have to squash you.”
Poi snarled, her breasts jiggling. Clyde shuddered and shivered and took an involuntary step back.
“End her,” he said.
[Your party has entered combat!]
The centipede woman rushed toward Clyde, her hand raised, preparing to strike. The young man dodged to the side and hacked at her body with his wind sword. It bounced off with a long ring.
[Poi used Harden. Poi’s defenses are up!]
[If you had a better sword, it wouldn’t have mattered.]
Clyde could feel the tail approaching but Airi’s kick to her face, sent the monster flying backward.
[Tear activated Dark fire bolt.]
The fireball the succubus launched howled like a speeding racecar. It smashed the centipede woman even further away. Smoke burst from the trail, coating the enemy.
[Poi’s HP has dropped to 100%]
[Harumi activated Feral fire wave.]
Poi howled as she took a grazing.
[WEAKNESS EXPLOITED. CRITICAL!]
[Poi’s HP has dropped to 30%]
As he flash stepped in front of the woman, he inhaled then exhaled a vicious burst of dragon fire.
[Dragon Breath level 1. Unleash Ki-based dragon flames from your mouth or combine it with your fist for a dragon-fist. Dragon breath does Ki and fire damage which cannot be blocked by magic.]
The monster girl somehow evaded, taking just another goddamn grazing. How lucky.
[Poi’s HP has dropped to 20%]
“Four on one isn’t fair,” she whined. “Take this!”
[Poi activated Ray burst.]
Thrusting her hands forward, the oomukade released strands of magic that nailed every direction. A three hundred sixty degree attack. It didn’t help that the super-fast bursts of white magic were the size of small cars. Everyone took a hit and it hurt. The entire party was stunned. And the monster girl moved in his direction.
[Critical! Clyde’s HP has dropped to 300%]
[Harumi’s HP has dropped to 150%]
[Airi’s HP has dropped to 150%]
[Tear’s HP has dropped to 450%]
“Shit, you’ve got to be fucking with me,” Clyde snapped. Poi laughed as she got closer and closer. The young man actually saw some fluids leaking.
[Poi prepares to activate Super Lustful poison sting.]
Clyde managed to regain movement in one of his arms just in time.
[Clyde invoked Mystic wrath.]
[Clyde activated Mystic lightning.]
Poi screamed as she burst into ashes. Clyde laid backward, breathing a little hard. The thrill and adrenaline finally settled down.
[Battle completed! Victory! Reward: 400,000 EXP and 100,000 dollars]
“I forgot how much of a bitch it is to fight them,” Clyde said as he stood. “Who’s ready to get the hell out of here?”
The others expressed their agreements as they caught up. Minutes later, the party had finally reached the edge of the creepy town. The young man could not express how many times he saw figures staring at them through windows, child-like shadows running away at the corner of his eyes, or things moving that actually weren’t there.
Soon, the found themselves closing in on the dungeon entrance—a cave with a door. Too bad life couldn’t allow Clyde to have it easy. There just had to be a guardian to everything.
The monster girl this time was a white-haired woman with blue skin and a ghostly tail. Armed with what appeared to be a staff with a blue ruby on top, the monster sported quite the aristocratic attire. A mask, found in ba
lls or parties, a…dress which somehow compensated for her tail, and a black vampire-like cape.
Phantom- Yusi
Level: 127
Type: Monster
Work under: N/A
Special: Ghostly violation! […should anything be said?]
Weakness: holy, light, purity, wind.
Resistances: dark and all of its attributes.
Secret: she wants to show you what it’s like to be dimensionally sexed. Whatever that’s supposed to mean.
“Oooh, thank you ladies, thank you, thank you,” Yusi said with glee. “To willingly bring me a man.”
“We didn’t—”
She pushed past Harumi, lunging for Clyde. The young man dodged.
“Does this feel familiar?” Clyde said. Harumi sighed.
“If you think this is bad,” Airi said, “go to the Monster Kingdoms. Ironically only women are safe there.” She cackled for a second then put on a serious face. “Still, I’ll slay any that tries to take your goods.”
Clyde gave her a blank stare, but what could he say?
[Your party has entered Combat!]
Yusi aimed the staff, firing magic so quickly, the party barely had time to react. Clyde felt a brief surge of pain before composing himself.
[Armor protection. Had you not changed armor, this would’ve been Super Extreme damage. You still take severe damage.]
[Yusi used Tier 1 skill: The Pit’s ender.]
[Clyde’s HP has dropped to 150%]
“Harumi.”
“On it,” the pink-haired girl said.
[Harumi activated Medium flash heal.]
[Clyde’s HP has increased to 350%]
[Tear activated Bronze tier skill: Triple wind-raid cutter.]
The phantom monster girl laughed as she dodged, wiggling her tongue. She met Airi’s fist, follow-up kick, then….
[Harumi and Airi activated Duo Attack: Whirling Grace Blast.]
[Clyde activated Bronze tier skill: Holy Wind Storm.]
This spell just felt right. Sword sheathed, he thrust two palms forward. The wind and magic fired like a missile, its impact exploding on the phantom’s chest.
[MASSIVE SUPER DEADLY CRITICAL! TECHNICAL! CRUCIAL!]
[Yusi’s HP dropped from 500% to 0%]
[You received the title, You OP Son-of-a-Bitch .]
Oh, fuck off, System, he thought. Yusi exploded into purple flames without a single last breath. His party was left open-mouthed.
[Battle completed! Victory! Reward: 500,000 EXP! 100,000 dollars. Access to dungeon.]
Sure enough, the door to the cave opened. The young man would not think about the logic of a cave having what appeared to be an electrical door.
“Did you pull that power out of your ass?” Airi said.
“Nope, as if I’d get that luxury,” Clyde said, thinking about his skill sheet. There was a system he needed to try now. “You’ve got a few cuts on your arm. Let me try something.”
“Please don’t kill me,” Airi said with a bored but playful voice.
[BCFUS lv. 5 . Rank 2: You can only present a temporary speed and jump boost. You may make only some changes to their appearances, heal moderate injuries, and sense their whereabouts at a better range, all using Free points (also known as Soul Points). You can now increase present temporary attack and defense increases. All women married to you will now have the deity and divine element attributes embedded into some of their attack skills. Chances of inflicting status alignments and heavy or more damage increases.
You can now rank up your prophet and unlock special abilities.]
Clyde checked his free points as he examined Airi.
[Free points: 265.]
Plenty. In his head, he saw a slider for each body part, a downward arrow to reveal more options, and the main options to the side.
[Moderate Heal]
[Speed Boost]
[Jump Boost]
[Sense Party member whereabouts]
[Attack Boost]
[Defense Boost]
There were more options grayed out with locks on them. He…needed to spend some time with the prophet girl who keeps saving his life. Clyde sent a text, but before he realized how ridiculous it sounded, his phone beeped, SUCCESSFULLY SENT .
[Ahahaahahaha]
He mentally glared at the system. Fuck, that text was embarrassing, and he had no time to clear it up. He couldn’t ask something that big out of the blue. She actually had her own things going on. The young man set that to the side. If he treated it like no big deal, she’d politely decline.
Clyde used the BCFUS to first heal her, but he decided not to bother with a speed and jump boost. Airi was the number one adventurer for a reason. Pssh, those weren’t the young man’s thoughts—he boosted the shit out of the Super Druid. Who knew what kind of super fucked up boss awaited them in that dungeon.
For fun, he attempted to the add more…size to Airi’s breasts. It didn’t offer much of an increase due to the low rank, so Clyde took back his points. Nothing would happen unless he actually hit the confirm button. Also, he wasn’t sure how the girls would react to changes made to them against their will. He wasn’t a body-rapist or anything, so he’d ask first. Maybe add in the excuse of it being just for science.
Of course, Clyde didn’t lie when he told the women that he wouldn’t change any part of them. Still, the two breast-enhancing potions in his inventory needed some use. Kitome’s thing was being flat…but after seeing her mom. An offer had to be made. A gift. He forced himself to focus. He…needed to stay out of his head.
[Would you like to pay 40 free points for the adjustments?]
Damn that was a lot, but Clyde had no idea what awaited them in the cave. He made the same changes to the other two women. No point of being stupid with an amazing system like this. He needed to smack himself a few times for forgetting about it.
[145 free points remaining.]
A total of one hundred twenty points spent. In his mind’s eye, he could see the status indicators by their health bars. If that wasn’t obvious enough, a slight blue aura surrounded each of them. And if that wasn’t obvious enough . The looks of wonder made it worth it.
“Ladies, let’s go,” Clyde said, smiling. Tear smacked the young man on the ass, soliciting a blank glare from him.
Episode 45 (Part 4)
[You are about to enter a dungeon. Difficulty: Very Hard.]
[The Grunting Cave…]
What a weird fucking name , Clyde thought as the party made their way in.
[Airi activated Party Light.]
A volleyball-sized orb of light materialized in front of the group, hovering a few feet off the ground
. It slowly centered them, lighting up the dark, moist cave, which smelled of wet vegetation.
“Wow, it’s been a while since I used this,” Airi said. “Yep, your favorite Super Druid was once a noob herself.”
Clyde was sure everyone could see in the dark just fine, but allowed it anyway. And the view of a brown chest made him smile. The young man almost stalked toward it, but Harumi’s growl halted his feet. His mystic senses detected nothing. His eyes saw nothing.
“If you want first dibs, go for it,” Clyde said. “I’m—”
“That’s no chest,” Harumi said.
Fuck. That could only mean one thing—an enemy in which gamers hated with a passion. The chest giggled. A bright light cloaked it for just a second until it turned into a girl who looked as if she wore a treasure box costume.
“You know this shit isn’t funny,” Clyde snapped. “And why are you here, anyway? No one comes out this way.”
“Of course, they do,” the mimic said. “My boss brings one and then later a friend tries to rescue the abductee. I don’t understand why she won’t let any of us take husband. Greed maybe?”
“None of what you said makes any sense,” the young man said. He gave her an analyze.
The mimic was a girl with blue-green hair and blue eyes. Cheerful expression too.
Her white clothing seemed a bit transparent. She wore two red ribbons. One on her head and of course the other covering her breasts, because the shirt she wore was cut that way. Anime fashion.
Mimic- Ila
Level: 107 (compressed.)
Type: Monster
Work under: Dungeon boss.
Special: Capture. [If she pulls you into the chest, you can forget about being in this nation anymore.] [Only works on men for some reason…]
Weakness: none.
Resistances: none.
Secret: she can actually teleport to different areas while waiting on the alarm set in her chest to go off.
“So even mimics,” Clyde said.
“Indeed,” Tear said.
[Your party has entered combat!]
The mimic gave them an innocent look.
“You’re not going to…hurt me, are you?”
Tear shot her a blank stare.
